Creative Writing Cafe Harvest Edition
What: Creative Writing Cafe Harvest Edition With Sophie
Led by Sophie we invite you to join us for a gently uplifting morning of creative writing, nature connection, and seasonal reflection.
This playful, lightly guided workshop invites you to explore your creativity while tuning into the rhythms of the natural world- and what they awaken within you.
We’ll begin with a short grounding meditation, followed by fun, accessible writing prompts designed to spark your imagination. Whether you write poetry, prose, story, or something in-between, this is a space to experiment, express, and reconnect- with yourself and with nature.
No writing experience needed- just bring a notebook, a pen, and your curious self. You’ll also have the chance to share your words (if you feel) in a warm and supportive space.
The focus is on creativity and connection- not perfection!
Tea and sweet treats provided!
When: Saturday, 9th August
Time: 10am-12pm
Where: Rooted Wings Studio and Field, Farnley Business Park

About Sophie
Sophie is a creative writing facilitator based in Yorkshire, where she leads inspiring, seasonal workshops rooted in wellbeing, self-expression, and connection to the natural world. An English Literature graduate with a background in teaching English language arts, she returned to her native Yorkshire after several years living in Spain.
Reconnecting with the rhythms of the English seasons, native plants, and folklore—through much time spent in the woods—has become a great source of joy and inspiration. She is drawn to the stories that emerge between people and wild places, and her work is shaped by a belief that creativity, community, and a deep sense of belonging to place are intimately connected.
Her workshops offer reflective, nurturing spaces that encourage self-expression, support mental wellbeing, and foster shared connection—to the land and to each other.
