This day is for you if you’re curious about outdoor learning, or already a practitioner looking to develop your skills and confidence.
Join us for a full, hands-on and enjoyable day exploring the key elements of outdoor learning. Myself and the team will guide you through a range of practical activities including fire lighting, campfire cooking, whittling and knife work, foraging, games, and simple crafts.
You’ll have the opportunity to try new things, build confidence, and develop skills you can take into your own practice. No prior qualifications are needed - just an interest in learning and being outdoors. Please note, this is not an accredited course.
If you’re unsure whether it’s right for you, feel free to get in touch - I’m always happy to have a chat.

About the Experience Day Team:
Rooted Wings is now in its tenth year and is led by me, Rachel. It is grounded in a blend of hands-on practice, theory, and a genuine appreciation for all that the outdoors can offer. Most recently, I completed a Master’s in Outdoor and Experiential Learning. Alongside my experience in homeschooling, rearing my four kids, Forest School practice, and work as a primary school teacher, Rooted Wings is growing into a space where I can share and offer these approaches to others through these experience days.
Mike and Daniel, both experienced outdoor practitioners, have worked alongside me for several years, bringing their skills and support to each session. They are invaluable members of the Rooted Wings team and outstanding practitioners in their own right.
We’d love to have you join us. Spaces are limited to ensure a high level of support and quality - book your place to avoid missing out.
